Having Fun With The Entire Family In Leesburg
In a recent article about Leesburg attractions, I presented five things to do that made readers aware that the city had deep historical roots. While that is awesome, those historical attractions aren’t always something that kids like to explore. They can be fun for intermittent stops or if it is the adults turn to pick. However, you want to make sure you have that family fun. Therefore, take note of these five family-fun oriented attractions in Leesburg VA for your vacation.
Leesburg Animal Park is the first place to tell you about. If you were to look at the list of attractions, you would see what I mean about it being heavily weighted towards historical places of interest. Many of them are exceptionally intriguing, so don’t think that the kids won’t like them. Still, when it is time to give the kids what they want, a little fun break, it can be had at Leesburg Animal Park on James Monroe Highway. There are pony rides available, and the reviews mention that people like to throw birthday parties there, too.
By the way, there are just about as many wineries in Leesburg as there are historical attractions. Now for another attraction, actually two of them, that spell family fun. The next two attractions on this list are room escape games. One is called Exit Plan, and the other is called Escape Room Loco. Exit Plan is located on Royal Street Southeast, and Escape Room Loco is located on Cardinal Park Drive Southeast.
Now for the fourth attraction featuring family fun. Not all families with kids would enjoy Eagle Tree Farms Blueberries the most, but it is a good pick, pardon the pun. The picture I noticed right away for this attraction on Harrison Hill Lane shows a little girl picking blueberries. The reviewers say that the blueberries are delicious, and I imagine they are!
Now for the last attraction on this list of five. Instead of giving you one attraction, I’m going to name several, and I will tell you why. There are a ton of parks for families to enjoy and explore, so you might as well get names of several. You might want to hit up the playground, or maybe you want to plan a family picnic after picking blueberries. Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park is one place you can visit. Let’s see what else is out there.
There is also Temple Hall Farm Regional Park, Olde Izaak Walton Park, Freedom Park, Rotary Park, Robinson Park and Raflo Park, among others. There is a nature sanctuary to visit as well. With all of those family oriented places to visit, you are going to have plenty to do. You want to keep those kids smiling and occupied, and sometimes a museum or some other historical attraction just doesn’t cut it. As you take your family to Leesburg, Virginia for vacation, keep this list in mind so that you guys have a lot of fun while you’re there.
